The University of Sheffield is rapidly earning itself a name at the forefront of water leak research, this time teaming up with UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR) to research how leakage occurs and worsens in cast iron pipes. One project will examine the environmental factors at play, while the other one looks at the impact of fluctuating water pressure.

We look forward to the insight this brings to the global challenge of non-revenue water, as well as that other Sheffield-led innovation Pipebots. More to tell you about that in the new year.
