For 20 years the International Water Association’s specialist Water Loss conference series has been the go-to place for the latest developments, strategies, techniques and applications of international best practices in Non-Revenue Water Management.
We’re delighted to have been selected to present our work on how open data can be used to improve NRW outcomes.
Our KTP associate Dr Jawwad Latif, a data scientist in IoT and machine learning from the University of the West of Scotland, will also be presenting a paper on his work developing FIDO Cloud Correlation – a simpler cloud-based method for water leak localisation in underground pipelines.

About Cloud Correlation
FIDO Cloud Correlation provides a simple and effective method to correlate leak noise by taking advantage of cloud-based processing.
All a leak engineer needs are two FIDO Bugs and a user-friendly FIDO application on their personal mobile phone.
The operator sets the Bugs using his smartphone app, taps the two devices together to synchronise them and places them on assets either side of a known leak.
The Bugs’ simultaneous sensor measurements are collected and uploaded to FIDO AI via the app for auto signal processing, and exact location results are received back on the mobile phone interface within seconds.
